In the end of the last millennium, Air France’s Millenimum flight departed Paris on January 1, 2000, and arriving in New York on December 31, 1999.
Air France announced depart from Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International at 12:15 a.m. on January 1, 2000, and arrive at New York’s JFK International at 9:53 p.m. on December 31, 1999, in effect traveling back in time.
Advertisement for this flight stated: “Traveling at over twice the speed of sound passengers will go from the 21st century back to the 20th century, permitting them the very rare pleasure of welcoming a new century twice in a lifetime,”
